Bang Sak Beach
Since there are only a few hotels and resorts on the long beach so far, the bathers are spread over so much space that you get the feeling that you have the beach almost to yourself. Many small, nice restaurants offer a large selection of Thai dishes and excellent seafood.
Bang Sak Beach in the far north of Khao Lak is about a 20-25 minute drive from Khao Lak and has relatively white, beautiful sand. The wide beach is a little out of the way, but it is just the right thing for guests who want to switch off without the hustle and bustle of tourist spots.
The long, relatively flat Bang Sak Bay is lined with many giant cassowaries, under the shade of which it is excellent to dine. The bay is a first class destination for many resident Europeans.
