Khao Lak: The Story Bar in Khaolak.
Khao Lak: BUILD Factory in Khaolak.

Because Khao Lak wants to be a quiet, family-friendly resort, nighttime activities are limited to eating, chatting, making friends, reading, playing, or having a drink at a beach bar. A stroll along the main street with a dinner in a restaurant or a visit to a bar is also an option. Cocktails usually cost 90-120 baht, beers between 60 and 90 baht.

Nevertheless, nightlife has increased noticeably in recent years. However, this is mostly in Bang Niang.

Night life in Khao Lak

Bang Niang

In Bang Niang the offering for night owls is significantly larger than in Nang Thong, Khao Lak Center. There are two bars with live music on the main street around the market. There are a number of open-air bars in the market itself.

The only disco/club is between Bang Niang and Khuek Khak: The BUILD VARIETY. Before it really gets going there from midnight to 2 a.m. with Thai music (some of it live), you can chill out on the terrace in the cool wind from 7 p.m.

Khao Lak: Moo Moo Cabaret in Khaolak.

The Moo Moo Cabaret is only open from October to mid-April.

The well-known Moo Moo Cabaret is a colorful and funny ladyboy show that has performances daily from 9:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. (plus Mon, Wed, Sat at 7:15 p.m.), and is located on the main street next to the bridge.

Entry costs 150 THB, which includes 1 drink.
